Following the decision in 2008 to create two divisions within a new organisation, Novacta, Novacta Biosystems is now focussed solely on offering ‘fee for service' activities to blue chip drug development and biofuel companies. Novacta is doing this by providing high value solutions for chemical challenges using Metabolite Factory Technology, biocatalysis capabilities and pathway engineering in bacteria, algae and yeast.
Novacta Biosystems' services are based on the application of the skills and experience of Novacta's scientific team, who have been working with Novacta Biosystems' proprietary technologies since the company spun out from GlaxoSmithKline's Biotransformation and Natural product chemistry centre in 2003.
Novacta Biosystems' proprietary technology platform harnesses the specificity and efficiency of biological systems for pharmaceutical applications and for commercial applications in the chemicals industry.
